Ricer math: 60-100 mph times?

Sorry but I'm curious :rotf:

I know a lot of cars with shitty traction and a few others (BMW and ricers) use this as a "measurement" of power, rather than 0-60, so I'm curious what kind of times you guys have on logs from 60-100?

On my stock everything Ty with magnaflow cat, I hit exactly 10.0 to 99 where I let off, according to tunerpro log. what a turd :(

For comparison's sake Cobalt SS/TC are in the mid 8 second range, C5 z06s are in the 4-low 5 second range and it looks like a lot of 450whp wrx and evos are in high 3 second-low 4 second.

On a side note, I had my boost within .7 psi of target from 60-100 on stock hardware with $59, which was what I was initially working on, probably going to try 16 psi tomorrow to see how that goes but it's definitely nice to have it steady and not bouncing up and down from 12 to 17 with spikes of KR left and right.

Supposedly, the new Ford Focus RS hits 60-100 in 5 seconds. 0-60 in 4.5ish so 0-100 in sub 10...not to bad for a little hatch.

Yeah I just saw that focus RS for the first time the other day, pretty cool little car. 1.9 that's nuts, I'm going like 30mph in that time LOL, couldn't imagine that.

Is that flooring it at 60 when the time starts, or already accelerating?

Re: Ricer math: 60-100 mph times?

They're usually timed already accelerating, just the time elapsed between the two speeds

Re: Ricer math: 60-100 mph times?

Went back and looked at an old DM file where I did the 1/4 in 11.64 @ 117 (one of my very best.) and the time was (according to DataMaster) 4.85 secs.

These times are a bit low because if I use DM to calculate 1/4 time it says I did the 1/4 in 11.42 @ 119 . So tack on, say, 0.15 and it's more like 5 secs 60-100.

Re: Ricer math: 60-100 mph times?

Bumped boost up to 16.5 and meant to add 2° but it actually dropped 2° because I didnt adjust map v spark table, time went down to 9.2 seconds but had a blip of 2° of KR at 70mph, clean the rest of the way. The top end is noticeably better on paper, picked up .45 seconds from 90-100. Still slow but working my way to stock cobalt ss territory LOL

Seems like it could be a somewhat effective way to gauge gains from minor changes given weather is the same, no?

Re: Ricer math: 60-100 mph times?

Looking at TP5 monitor/logs, it's about 10 frames per second and I have the logs showing 10 points per second, it should be fairly accurate. The first pic is 1/10th of a second per hash, the second is 1/2 second per.

edit: added pics, disregard messed up labels
