Roller rocker feeler gap

I'm looking for the feeler gap size for my 1.5 roller rockers. I was told it should be in the thousandths. Is this correct?

Couldn't find anything through search. Maybe I'm not wording it correctly. Much thanks!

0 lash 1/2 to 3/4 I think is what I set mine at.I use this very often. You can do this just by lifting push rod up and spinning at the same time,

Re: Roller rocker feeler gap

I hope this helps. I got this off a board member in chat and it worked great doing it this way. One difference is that I have a comp cam 412 and 1.6 roller rockers.

Turn engine over till Intake valve go's all the way down and 2/3 back up. (Adjust
Exhaust) *Set lash to spec*
Then Turn engine over till exhaust rocker just starts to go down. (Adjust intake
Valve) *Set lash to spec*
Then continue on to next cyl. re-pete

Ok.. There's no "Lash" setting on a roller rockers.. It's "Pre-load"
So same procedure as I stated above.. but 1/4 to 1/2 turn pre-load

Since oil pressure running through the lifter keeps the "slack" out of the lifter to
pushrod to rocker to valve stem.

If you are using a solid lifter cam, roller or flat tappet you set them up wit a gap .020 or some where there abouts but the stock hydraulic or any other hydraulic cam are set as described as listed about regarless of the rocker arm type

I'm using the 412 cam.

Much thanks for the replies. I'll use this as a reference.
