Went to the dragstrip Friday night for the first time with the Ty....my times were thoroughly underwhelming. My best was a 15.4 @ 86. The truck has nearly 100k on it. When I was poking around on the forum here Saturday, I could see that a common failure is the IC pump. Well, I checked mine out, and...DEAD! No worky! So if I replace the pump, how much of an improvement can I expect? Does the pump really make THAT much of a difference? Wow.
My truck is bone stock with the exception of a K&N. I was building as much boost as I could at the line without the truck creeping, so I guess I was doing everything I could.
Oh--and on my last run, the driver's side motor mount let go. The fan makes a really wonderful noise when it hits the upper shroud. It's a real attention getter, lemme tell ya.
