So who wants to recommend what?

Need tires for the GT, preferably cheap. Want something that sticks well rain / shine / possibly a little snow. 245/45/17

Leaning toward another set of Avon Tech M550 AS like I have on the Ty, seem to be great tires for the money

I have had great results with Kumo tires. Faulken is also great for the money.

Re: Tire recommendation?

After a little searching around, looks like either the Avon Tech M550 A/S or BFGoodrich Traction T/A ... anyone have experience with Traction T/A's ?

Zewerr .... had KDWS's on the Ty before... wasn't a huge fan, although that did include winter driving

Re: Tire recommendation?

Well, I'm about used up my Eagle F1 GS-D3's. Which are alittle pricey, but awesome in wet/dry conditions. Though dirt crap in the snow. But it was to be expected. They handled awesome. I'm going with G-Force KDW's next (just ordered them last week) to save a few bucks and get a good comparison between the two. I also expect those to be god awful in the snow as well, but it don't snow here too often, so who cares. In your case. Kuhmo's have always been a great tire for the money. Many Yokohama's as well. If you like spending big bucks, Pilot Sport A/S's might do the trick!

Not a michelin fan, never had a tire of theirs that I liked.... let's see, I've had Toyo's, BFGoodrich, Pirrelli's, and now Avon's on the Ty... the BFG's were best in the snow second only to the Avon's, but that's only a "if it really needs to happen" situtation. hmmm

I was pretty much sold on them before but you just convinced me. Traction T/A it is. All I need now is to get the engine in the truck
