Date is set June 22,23,24 2012
ATTENTION!!! AS OF MARCH 16th there are only 10 rooms left available so make your reservations NOW! I learned this is prime season for them because of the lake and they BOOK fast.
My fellow Texas SyTy gearheads, Ive gathered just about everything we need to make this upcoming weekend in June a unforgettable one. Please make sure you are placing your vote for what weekend in June before Feb 1st. Thank you all who voted for June (sarcasim).
With this idea in my head for several years now of hosting a annual Texas SyTy meet with all of your voting perticipation for June, it is all coming togather. I have spent countless hours searching local hotels close to the track and have found one that I just cant find a reason to shake a stick at. I know many of you may live within an hour away of the track, I need everyones's perticipation to book one night's stay (saturday night) to get a group rate 30% off. Before I go into detail lets lay out the plans for the event.
Friday:
Early evening check into hotel (for those who want to show early and do not want to travel saturday AM)
I plan on being there friday early evening, for those who show. We could cruise out for dinner and a few drinks. Update: Track is open for test and tune gates open at 5pm.
Saturday:
Track day! Gates will open at 8am, Racing usually starts around afternoon, depends on the crowd. Track has full consession food/drinks. Cooler's and tailgating welcome, No glass bottle's. After the track we can all return to the hotel to all cruise out for a casual dinner. Undecided at this point as of where, may have to hit up chinese buffet considering how much BBQ intake we will have sunday.
Sunday:
730am we will all checkout and head to stillhouse lake just 5-10miles east of the hotel. Those who sleep in are more than welcome to do so. I have reserved a covered pavillion at a lakeside park with plenty of parking close by for everyone to park trucks next to eachother and take pictures with them all shined up. We will have a TX style BBQ and eat hang out and have a few drinks. Fishing, hiking, boating, swiming or whatever you soul may decide is within walking distance. Bringing SyTy items for sale for a miniture swap meet would be a good way to sell some unwanted parts.

The Hotel:
A non-smoking hotel with 5star review's, 12miles from the track down a paved farm/market road across open Texas country. At 10+ rooms we will get a rate of 99 a night. Normally 119-149 a night that time of year.

Buce has been going to this track for years, recently just got "Big Gun" status with his Syclone. The track is IHRA and has alot of history, they are open for test and tune on weekends throughout the year, Saturday during the summertime. Gates opening early around noon. They are sorta central TX and are willing to accomodate our SyTy car club. All I can say is check out the website!
The Lake/Park:

There are 3 possible parks at the Lake to have a large public BBQ on lakefront with parking for all the trucks, It's 5-10miles from the Hotel and excepts party reservations outside in there covered lakefront pavilions with BBQ pits. I plan to drive out to scout in March and make our reservations of one of the three parks with your guy's feedback. I will take pictures and post to the forum.
I'd like everyone to participate truck or no truck. With all of us here in the big state of Texas, a annual SyTy meet in the summertime there should be no excuses why it's taken this long.
