SOLD!
Thanks
I am the new owner of a HHR SS and after kicking it around for a few weeks, I have decided to sell my Typhoon. I just don't have the time or money (with new car payment) to work on it. It needs a lot of work!
The good:
It runs and drives. (I have put a couple hundred miles on it since I bought it)
The interior is in pretty good shape.
Good tread on the tires
Mechanically well taken care of from what I know. (I know the previous owner from 43,xxx miles to 127,xxx miles when I bought it)
The bad:
RUST and a lot of it!
Needs new fenders, doors, maybe quarter patches, above rear hatch is gone.
Tailgate is frozen shut.
Has a broken motor mount.
Front differential is leaking.
Heater core is cracked (and leaked antifreeze in carpet causing a musty smell inside car)
Rear passenger cladding is busted up a bit. (I think it can be reshaped)
New stock fuel pump (good) but the relay wiring is wrong so it cranks until the back up oil pressure relay kicks in. (it cranks for about 10 seconds before starting)
Right front wheel has a small bend in he lip. (It holds air fine though)
Overall, the truck is probably work more in parts than it is in one piece. I really don't want to mess with parting it out, or take another Typhoon off the road. Hopefully someone can bring it back to life. Any questions feel free to send me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Thanks,
Jamie
