as of last tues i was hit on my motorcycle by a fellow rider(his fault) and my bill sits at $4500 for motorcycle. Heres my problem bc we failed to make a police report bc fear to his life bc i had a couple friends including myself that were gonna kill him on the spot, we left bc my bike was still somewhat operational. luckily i was not injured just bruised and sore and still am sore. we were only traveling at 45-55mph when he decided to slow down and knock me off the road and when i ended up wrecking i was only doin i think 30ish by my oh s**t meter which was already wacked out for some odd reason lol. so im hoping for his sake that he comes thru with the money and fixing my bike. I had my $400 leather shift racing jacket brand new i might add on and my lid but he had no lid and lil petite passenger with no lid on too. but nothin happen to them luckily and im happy nothin happen to her bc i def wouldve killed him for being such an idiot

No offense, but not filing a report is not the brightest thing you could have done. I hope this works out in the end for you.

Sorry to hear about your wreck ty0056, but glad to hear you're ok. What kind of bike do you have? Reason being, I have a good friend that works at a bike shop and I may be able to get what you need at cost or slightly over cost.

Atleast with cars, you can still make a claim if the police don't show up. Just get his info, call your insurance and make a claim against him.

The whole not filing a police report thing only works in your favor if it was your fault. Since there is no legal record on file of anything happening to your bike that has anything to do with him, his insurance company will of course deny you. Always Always file a police report, its the only thing that can legally corrolate you with the rider at fault....otherwise, its going to be a lengthy civil litigation where you'll have to hire a lawyer that still will be overmatched by what they throw at you, only to hope that your witnesses have credibility enough to overcome the insurance company's legal defense team...
