What tires to get

Hello all, I am new to the forum and just recently bought a Syclone # 633. It needs new summer tires and am not sure what to get. I've been looking at the BFGoodrich G-Force Sports, T/A KDW, Kumho Ectasa Supra 712, Sumitomo HTR Z, and the Bridgstone Potenza RE750. I'm looking for a replacement tire for the stock tire. Any words of wisdom on what works and what doesn't. I'll probably be getting them here in the next week/2 weeks. TIA

What are you looking for in a tire?

I, personally go for the best available handling tire in the stock size. I'm thinking that's going to be Eagle F1 GS-D3's, which were the last tires I had. I really liked them. Right now I'm running the KDW's, which I find almost as good as the F1's, but not quite.

I bought a set of Fuzion 245/50/16
They are rated for the summer time only but for the price they kick ass. just my .02

Well, something in the $100/tire range would be nice, as the Kumho 712 are. I'm looking for a tire that has good handling and grip. After reading a few reviews on this tire I'm almost sold on it. Thank you for the response and keep the reviews coming.

American Made tires are the ones to buy in my opinion. We are giving to much credit to foreign countries just to save a buck. I need new tires also, and will fork out the cash so my American made Typhoon will stay close as I can to American made. Hope I didn't affend anyone. Thats my two cents.

Re: What tires to get

Go to onlinetires.com and look at the Fuzion ZRI tires. They have a nice looking sidewall and also have rim guard to protect the lip of your rim. I have had them for about 4k miles and they still look like new. My truck handles better with them, compared to the Firestone SVX's that came on it and they are only about $85 each.

Re: What tires to get

I have gforce sports, and I love these tires. I have a mostly stock truck and dont race too much, but I have never felt these tires slip except when I tried to do a donut and once when it froze here. I dont think their good for snow though.

Yokohama ES100's, don't know if they come in a stock size, but had em on my 17's. Awesome, no wheel spin when launching, handle great, just a great all around tire.

Re: What tires to get

truck came with BFG's KDWS tires. Work great in the rain and dry. I have nothing to compare to but I like them and will stick with them when I go bigger after I wear these out.

Re: What tires to get

Hmmm... Well, I'm leaning more and more towards the BFGoodrich's. Which ones I don't know. I'm trying to decide between the G-Force Sport, T/A Tractions and KDWS. The other tire is the Yokohama AVS ES100. Any reason why you all like these tires?

Re: What tires to get

I had the BFG KDWS on for a while, in my opinion they were all that great, wore out too fast, and traction wasn't what I had hoped for. Right now I had the BFG Sport TA's, same deal, I'm going back to the Yokohama ES100 when these wear out.

Re: What tires to get

I've got Avon Tech M550 A/S on my Ty right now... pretty happy with them, especially in the wet. Going to be putting BFGoodrich Traction TA's on the GT
