Geez. An OG thread. I haven't heard from you Jimmy for a long time. What happened, you loose my number? I always get a kick out of a conversation with my TN hillbilly buddy. You still bending sheet metal at Carrier?

Then there's my pal Phil. We've had a couple conversations on the other board, and got together for a rendezvous in Colorado a few years ago when we both happened to be in the same place at the same time and made it happen. That was cool too. Because that's what friends do: Make things happen.

I'm just getting old. Shit hurts. I'm not as strong, and I don't see very well any longer. Makes it tough to wrench on things for pleasure or profit. I hate SoCal traffic in that there is no longer "rush hour", it's just jammed anywhere you go, no matter what time you leave. There's too many people. Density is too high. So I find the easiest way to deal with it is I just don't go out at all. Makes it tough to get any work done on the boats if I won't get in the truck to go the boat and do it.

I guess I'm the last of the 3 of us that still has a SyTy. I have one of each. I've never finished the BurnJob, but its a beautiful Sy. It's been running since 2004 and I've put 8 miles on it. Someday I'll put the cladding on it and sell it. The Wht/gry runs great, its my travel car if I don't need the Super Duty's towing capacity. I put about 5,000 miles a year on it and rarely have to do anything to it. This summer, I added a C4 ZR-1 to the fleet. I've put about 1l,000 miles on it so far, and I still grin every time I nail it. For 30 year old technology, it gets it done.

Take care, my friends.

I don't bend shit. I cut metal blanks for every department in a multibillion $ Trane factory.. if anybody wants to steal Dave's white gray hit the horn button for it to start.🤣

If you have a custom security system on your truck, don't compromise its effectiveness by telling anyone about it. Even someone you thought was a friend.

Go ahead and hit the horn, it will wake me up. I pack heat. I changed the Ghost Switch. It isn't the horn anymore. Too many people knew about it.

Every time you say anything ,I think of this:

I Love My Ty's
It is great to see both of you posting again. Maybe we can have some good conversations on here like we used to.

I loved my SyTy's. But I never drove them. I guess that I was afraid to put the mileage on the odometers. Don't know why they aren't worth enough to make that much difference. The Typhoons are pretty nice to drive also. The Syclones not so much, they just don't have enough room inside. Oh well, they are all gone now. I just bought a new Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport.

I still have my Sy and Ty. I added 2 Teal SoGt's and a Teal (painted black) Ty to my collection, but none of the Teal trucks run. :(

Glad to see y'all chatting here again.
It hasn't been the same since this website was reconfigured and "updated."
Nevertheless, this forum has been an institution with a wealth of former members hard-fought and regularly-shared knowledge to anyone in here who wanted or needed advice and assistance.
I have never owned a Sy or a TY, and in my neck of the wodds only about one of each are floating around like ghosts.
I hope Jimmy & Dave stay around and contribute their vast knowledge once again; I always enjoyed all the information shared by them and I have applied a number of upgrades to my 1994 Blazer (a.k.a. Oldsmobile "Tornado").
Thanks again guys for all your contributions as you have made many!

Glad to see some life here! I will be checking in regularly now! I finally sold all my broken syclones and got one that runs. Not quite what it was advertised as but.... It runs. IMG_0641_exported_0_1579744620408.jpg

I've had so much fun with all you guys. I will never forget when Eric couldn't start his truck, I walk behind it and no hook his fuel pump backup.Good times.

Gave up on checking .net and have it not working, and finally figured out that the site was back up and running.
And it's nice to see (or read) some old faces(or renewed).
Always enjoyed Dave's loads of knowledge (have the post printed out of the ghost switch wiring somewhere, to do sometime),
and Jimmy's humor.
I have wanted to hang out with this bunch, but missed the Colorado meet and the east coast stuff is way too far away.
Anyways..... let the posting begin.

Anybody know someone who makes the cross member for drive shaft clearance? I've tried Jeff Scott fabrication but the number is out of service..
