Installed B&M Trans oil cooler and now I have a shudder, I didn't fill the cooler with trans oil first, could air have gotten in the system. or does that not matter?

Shudder when I let off the the throttle at 1250 rpm?, This is when I have the truck in Neutral , also seems to shudder about same RPM when throttling up, but more noticable when the rpm is coming down. what could this be, my truck is completely stock.
