    Mounting remote transmission filter

Re: Mounting remote transmission filter I wouldn't be too concerned with that, but as a safety precaution, it might be beneficial to make some sort of weight-bearing strap to hold the filter. Even steel strapping or a bungee cord could do the trick. The simpler the design of a strap, the...

    can i align truck myself

Re: can i align truck myself  Of course you can. The quality of the result will depend on the time invested, the condition of your steering/suspension, and the availability and quality of the tools you use (specialty tools). I have a digital camber gauge and toe plates from our race...

    Mounting remote transmission filter

Re: Mounting remote transmission filter Nope. Once the system is pressurized, neither gravity or orientation have much of an effect. Many commercial applications have hydraulic filters mounted "upside down" and the only issue is the one you describe (changing filter mess and the inability to...

    AFPR problems help much needed

Re: AFPR problems help much needed It's easy enough to verify the quality of the afpr....just pop on your known-good stock one and see if the problem persists. If so, it's elsewhere. If not, warranty the afpr.

    Carlisle Truck Nats

Re: Carlisle Truck Nats Ah, good to know. From what I had read, I didn't see a charge per vehicle (only per head/couple). In that case, Imma shaddup and let Tom answer this.

    Carlisle Truck Nats

Re: Carlisle Truck Nats Tom will have to verify, but my understanding is that your weekend pass pays for two people (or at least it has in the past). There is no mention that I can find on vehicle limitation. So, I would venture to say that there is no additional cost for additional trucks (nor...

    Best Reliable Half Shaft Replacement?

Re: Best Reliable Half Shaft Replacement? Just about all the new shafts are built overseas anymore, so almost all are of the same quality. I haven't bought one in years, but a local owner got a pair rebuilt at a local driveshaft shop and was elated with the quality and cost. Otherwise, my...

    SyTy Events

Re: SyTy Events IMO, anything is worth listing. Even if it's a gathering of just two SyTyers to grab coffee or turn some wrenches. If it's a meet that is regular (e.g. first Saturday of every month), then I can make it a recurring event automatically. If the dates are precarious (e.g. every...

    SyTy Events

I wanted to throw a quick post on here to announce that we've launched sytyevents.com! While I'm not 100% through coding it (doubt I ever will be), it is ready for public consumption. The goal of this site is to be a central hub for events, meets, wrench sessions, etc... in the SyTy community...

    Datamaster and windows 8?

Re: Datamaster and windows 8? Careful with this. Not all VM's absorb inputs properly. Nor do all of them recognize drivers properly in native configuration. Success with a VM with recording is hit or miss as I've seen.

    Datamaster and windows 8?

Re: Datamaster and windows 8? Ditto. I don't run it W8 on my logging machine, but I tested it to see if it'd work and it does.

    shaking symptons

Re: shaking symptons But you know better than that if you've ever had a rotor on the lathe. Anything that rotates on a vehicle can cause a vibration. And surely you've seen just how out of balance a rotor can be on a lathe.....even while appearing fine to the naked eye. When we ran our parts...
