    Body rooooooollllllllll

Re: Body rooooooollllllllll The truck looks sick! Are tall balljoints available for the 4wd platform? It looks like you're getting a lot of positive camber gain when it's compressed like that.

heres my 95 s10 RWD project

Re: heres my 95 s10 RWD project The steering column pods from the full sizes will fit some of the later model 2nd gens but I'm not sure about the earlier ones. If you want to try it I can send you an old one for mock up. I used it for a while when my truck was supercharged but it blocked the...

    AutoX with CFR Solo

Re: AutoX with CFR Solo You can probably go significantly more aggressive with your alignment specs without losing much driveability on the street. Turn in will feel much more responsive with zero toe-in or even some toe-out if you don't do a lot of highway driving and can stand the nervous...

    AutoX with CFR Solo

Re: AutoX with CFR Solo Looked like fun! I'm jealous of Florida winters - our course locations are all covered in several feet of snow at the moment :( I'd definitely up your tire pressures significantly in the front but check them from run to run. They'll go up 6-8 psi as your tires warm up...

    First Autocross of 2012

Re: First Autocross of 2012 On tight courses I leave mine in 1st to stop it from hunting around for gears and to take advantage of the engine braking. It takes me to about 45 mph, which is (almost) fast enough for the kind of courses we run around here. I thought the same thing about the body...

    First Autocross of 2012

Re: First Autocross of 2012 Cool, looking forward to seeing more updates through the season! What gear do you put the tranny in when you run? I think you'd be more likely to roll any rig in an auto-X than road racing. Even though the speeds are lower the transitions can be much quicker and...

    Run through the hills 2011

    93 seats-autox worthy?

Re: 93 seats-autox worthy? You can also put a twist into your seat belt before you latch it to stop it from loosening up. Some guys set their belt like this with the seat back a bit and then pull it forward to snug it up even more - it works better with power seats.

    93 seats-autox worthy?

Re: 93 seats-autox worthy? If you're sliding on the leather go to home depot and buy a roll of kitchen cupboard liner (you can even get it in black) and put it on the seat before you get in. It obviously won't help with the lateral support but it completely eliminates the sliding around issue...

How to install stock arm coil overs

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs How is the ride with 600 lb coils? I'm running 550's on my 2wd with QA1s and it's rock hard. Is the front end on a sy/ty that much heavier or is the leverage ratio different on the control arms?

2WD S10 setup for road racing

Re: 2WD S10 setup for road racing I have no idea to be honest. The ZQ8 coils only dropped my truck by an inch when I put them in and I don't think it's gone down more in the last few years. I do have friends with stock, higher mileage ZQ8's that are significantly lower in the front than mine...

2WD S10 setup for road racing

Re: 2WD S10 setup for road racing I originally had the Z85 towing option but I swapped to ZQ8 coils. That was a few years ago but if I still had them now I'd go with the setup you mentioned - the Z85 coils and 2" drop spindles. Unfortunately I left them outside and believe it or not someone...

2WD S10 setup for road racing

Re: 2WD S10 setup for road racing I don't know about the LCAs but I asked on pts10 since I've been interested in that question for a while as well. From what I understand, a major factor in setting up the front end is to make sure that the LCA is parallel with the ground at ride height so that...

2WD S10 setup for road racing

Re: 2WD S10 setup for road racing Send a PM to dusterbd13 on s10forum or protourings10 - he's the one that helped with the design work so he should be able to give you the specs for the UB Machine arms. When I got mine they were only the 3rd set they'd made but I know at least 6 or 7 people...
