:tup:Round 2 looked awesome, but round 3 you lost me!?:?:? I'm glad it was rescued/cleaned up though and wasn't left to rot out in the sun!

Mud flaps.....really????

Re: 93 Typhoon Rescue

dude, do what you want, you own it, and these other peeps do NOT.

i think you did a hell of a job, and if it is my taste or not doesn't matter!!

keep up the good work, have fun, and do what YOU want. **** the neysayers.

how does she run? is this your first? what else do you drive?

oh, and while dale may be cool, you are cooler for paying homage. thank you for breaking the mold, even if it is not my taste.

Thanks.

What I do find interesting is that people on this site are vocal and opinionated on what they like. That's ok I can take it. Everbody that's familiar with these units think they should all look the same stark one color or the factory 2 tone. But the way I look at is most people on the street never see one or have no idea what it is and those are the people that I want it to stand out to. In person this ride looks sweet. As far as the mudflaps I have them on because I drive it everyday and don't want to ruin the silver paint on the bottom. I would rather they did not say 4X4 on them though. I think the all black trucks are boring and look fat. It runs great and is pretty fast.

If they like it or not doesn't matter. #1 you are driving and enjoying it, and #2 it is YOUR truck.

#1 is something probably 50% of the board doesn't do (myself included at times).

Nice work.

You've done a great job bringing it back to life.

That paint scheme looks great, but the back is too busy for me with all of the decals. IMO, would look much better if you ditched the GMC & the SS decals.

Re: 93 Typhoon Rescue

Not many people can play nice on this board. Must be because they are sitting at home behind their computer and don't have to see these people face to face. Plus alot of u are very young. I don't think I like this group very much overall. Does not make me very proud to own one of these. I don't want to stereotype everybody here but there is more whining and putting people down on here than I care to hear about. :2cents:

You might be suprised how much stuff is said on this board unless you have met some of the people it would not make sense.

Canadian guy and myself have been on the boards for years, so his comment to me was all in good fun. Just like I give silly a hard way about his 2wd blazer. If you just read the board as it is written it has a whole new light to it -vs- after meeting a lot of people on here.

I am going on 10yrs now as an owner, and I have met a fair amount of board members in person at least once, forgot half of those I have met, wished I didn't met 1/4 of those, and wonder why the last 1/4 claim to even know who I am.

I would suspect if you show up to a gathering or 2, your view of the board will change a lot and a lot of the hidden messages on the board would go away.

You can also join the chat room daily and just watch how that goes also. It can be topics from mexican hookers to Crazykaese talking about climbing under his bosses desk or asking to borrow a ladder so he can drive his truck.

Don't write us off yet, just open up some humor and fun.

Trust me, if you met us characters in person, you would like us. For the most part SyTy owners are very similar.

Re: 93 Typhoon Rescue

I actually saw the youtube video before I saw this post, I thought to myself, neat I've never seen anybody do that before. Atleast to a sy/ty. Sure the stickers arent my style but then again it's not my truck. Nice save......stickers or not, it still looks a thousand times better than it did when you got it.
One question though, why not paint the grill shell?

All the Black Paint is original since I bought it, I just buffed it out. Not all the paint is factory original though. I did paint the new fender cladding in front and the silver myself but I never repainted the whole truck or took the grille off.
