Its just that your front bumper cover and your cladding don't line up perfectly but that doesn't mean anything. Just on my SY its that way but I have had some front end damage in the past by a previous owner...

I've noticed that too, but after inspecting it futher there is no trace of some other previous damage. Probably just an "american fitting" to it all.

Just kinda wodering about front end damage w/the paint job and the bumper cover and cladding but if you say its "American fitting" then I'll take your word for it...

FYI 80% or more of sytys cladding doesn't line up perfectly in the front. It's usually not related to front-end damage. I guess you could call it "American fitting".

Truckless. For now.
yah, it's american fitting. but it's also possible to losen up the mounts/supports, have someone adjust and hold the cover in place, and retighten everything and have it look pretty good. not perfect persay, but have it look like it was meant to go together anyway.

Totally agree... My SY wasn't wrecked that bad but all the cladding doesn't line up and on other people I know its the same way. Mostly age I guess.

The reason that I got suspicious was not he cladding, it was the front wheel offset. The driver side front/back tyres line up perfectly, but on the passanger side the front wheel is 3/4" further out.... and I 've had the front suspention adjusted so the car handles perfectly. :-?

Any suggestions???

I guess I learned my 80% lesson! :D I'll take some pics of my SY tomorrow and put them up to show my flaws on the cladding. That the most outstanding flaw on my SY is the wheel offset in the front. My right side sticks out more than the left. Mine is lucky to get 1,500 miles a year put on it...

I wonder if this is common!!?? I think I've heard it before.....

Sorry if this is too obvious, but....
have you checked to make sure the front wheel wasn't mistakenly replaced with a 'rear' wheel? If a damaged front (41mm offset) was replaced with a rear-spec (13mm offset) wheel, it would stick out as you describe.
