Hi Guys,is there a difference between a94 abs unit than the 91 the syclones have? I know I can do a bypass but i kinda would like to keep it original, I also dont care to spend 470 dlrs for a remanufactured unit from autozone, I can pick one up from a junk yard for 25 dlrs, I looked at both and they have the same electrical conections. Thanks in advance.

Re: abs unit

I don't know but I would think there's a difference considering the one in syclones was a generation 1 version and years later I would think they'd have a different variant since the gen 1 sucked major

It is probably the electronic modular. Give Module Master a call 888-892-0764. Get it checked first to be sure if it is the module. They can rebuild it....

Re: abs unit

No, it won't work.

The 91 is a 4-sensor system. The 94 is a 3 sensor system.

You want to keep the 91-92 4-sensor system, as it is superior to the 93-up 3-sensor in the way it works. Most complaints of "failures" are with 93 3-sensor systems.

What is wrong with yours? Very few ABS problems require replacing the module itself. It's usually sensors or wiring problems. There is a "Troubleshooting the ABS" in The Vault that has a very good troubleshooting guide. Start with that. What are the codes?

If the module is indeed bad, you can take the halves apart, and install your front module onto the replacement rear half. The front module contains the program. The back half contains the pump and solenoids. Back-halfs are all the same, irrespective of year. You can also "trick" a regular 4WD module (91 or 92 4-sensor) into thinking it's in 4WD at all times, and it will then work with AWD. It's just a wire on pin "D" of the 10-pin to Ign +.

Lots of options. But start with what are the codes for yours?
Thats what I'm looking for a way to make it work, I took the halves apart the the motor works, I checked the codes and the circuits and did the reset and everything points to the module. I see theres extra wires on the 93-94 ten pin conector from a 4wd unit,do you know were I can get a diagram. Thanks in advance.
