Re: Add another one to the graveyard
I know about the "It's not that bad" part at first glance. Problem is, as they pull it appart to do a full quote, the more they pull off the more they find wrong.
There does look to be some frame dammage, as when you open the passenger door it instantly drops 1/2" to an 1", looks like the body kind of bent upward right there at the A pillar, into the roof. Also looks like the wreck pushed back the heater assembly into the truck some. The waste gate accuator for the turbo is toast, boost control selinoid is toast. still didn't have enough off to see if the turbo its self ate anything, but the water & oil lines are toast. The main battery wiring harness was pushed back onto the exhaust housing of the turbo, melted everything there The red top I was happy to have as its an older one that started the truck problem free many o times, exploded. it still had enough juice to roll the windows up 3-4 days later.. I'm supprised it didn't short out, and the guy doing the work pulling it couldn't belive I didn't have a fire will all that and the trans fluid that sprayed EVERYWHERE. The A/C condensor, radatior, aux cooler, & trans cooler were mashed into one, and all of the coolant lines, oil lines, trans lines, A/C lines are bent/torn/ripped.
So much is crammed under our hoods, even more so with all the after market BS I had. I'm putting my money on double the original estimate of 7800 up to 15,600 at least in damage.
