i also got a killer deal on some new 3/4 heater hose buying it in a 50ft roll. i'll share what's left over for 50 cents a foot for anyone that needs any, since the parts store told me 1.10 a ft.

Is it black heater hose? If so I will buy some, I need ~16-20 feet.

Re: almost there for now -- update *adding Pictures* busy days 4/9

got the new carpet and oem seats in. the carpet looks good and fit pretty good. nice cut to fit and molded pretty close. i did have to remove about half the padding under where the console sits to make it sit right but no biggie. if i ever take the back seat out again, its never going back in, that was quite a pain puttung it back in and i managed to mix up the back seat belt so those had to be uncrossed. need to cut out part of the shifter mount plate to run my xfi harness into the console, and mount that up. found out today i'm going to have to put the filter on the block because there doesn't look like room to run the lines for the remote filter. got my overflow tank today and fitted it up, realized i should have stuck w/ a 10" long instead of a 16, but i'll just trim the inner fender so i can mount it next to the rad fill cap

i installed a battery today here it is

PHOT0001-3.jpg

well its my distibution for the battery, i'm putting a pair of optimas in the back. i picked this up to help clean up the rats nest of wire, which it isn't doing a good job of yet, but i put this in to make my wife happy. she was really getting tired of crawling through the hatch to open the doors for since i shaved the handles. its a pretty nice block, does power and ground 4-10 guage wire, four fused outs and a pass through i'm going to use for the starter. i need to get some measurement to mike to see if he can make me a mount plate to put it where the oem overflow went. i'm using 4guage wire from the back to here, but if its not enough for my starter i will upgrade it to 1/0 wire, but that crap is like 3 dollars per foot. i also started hooking up my fans, the thermostat kit i got for them is pretty nice, comes w/ a relay and a molded plug , a 30 amp circiut breaker, all the terminals, a 170 temp sensor, and the wires all have what they are for printed on them. i got my heater hose and hose clamps i ordered yesterday. 50 ft 3/4 heater hose and 120 stainless hose clamps for 75ish dollars, pretty good deal i thought. here is the ebay store i got it from. got it in like 3 days. ups/fedex/dhl all know where i live they each stop by atleast once or twice a week, i even had them all show up on one day

well it was a good day today. after work i made it to the local pick and pull and scored. got a passanger power mirror, console hinge and starter. nice price too. also found an oil filter adapter, but didn'y have time to pull it so i'm going back after it in the morning. i seen more non ac boxes, including the newer one that is black plastic and possible more console hinges if anyone has needs, i can probably hook them up cheap, maybe even ls1 rear caliper brackets and stock type disc brackets. just let me know and i'll look and maybe pick it up.

while i was out in the yard i pulled the filter off a block that didn't didn't have a cooler or remote filter thinking i would get the filter mount for mine. well all that was there was a brass nipple threaded into the block. so i came home and unbolted that nipple from onr of the remote filter/cooler setups i have and it threaded right into the block and i was able to put a penziol 34 filter on it i think it was. i just used a 10 mm allen key to remov the nipple.

Re: almost there for now -- update *adding Pictures* busy days 4/12

it wouldn't be a typhoon if i didn't have days like today. i got my oil filter nipple installed, starter is up and wired, and was plumbing the turbo oil and water lines when i noticed my crossover pipe is resting on the frame rail, well unless i crank the wheels hard to the right then the idler arm lifts it off of the frame. so now i need to pull the alt bracket and pwer steering pump off and start to modify the pipe. oh joy oh joy and i thought i was going to get it started this week. does anyone know if this is a common issue or is it a monday/friday typhoon issue? and are the kb headers stainless steel or mild steel?

Re: almost there for now -- update *adding Pictures* busy days 4/12

what a pissy hang up. i went out and stared at it for awhile to see how i was going to reroute the crossover and i think i'm going to make it one piece and ditch the flange thats on it. i'm just aggrivated because it was already jet hotted. so i guess i'm going to try and hung the oil pan and heat wrap it. i'll get pictures of it up once i get it modified. well more of completely redone, i think all i'm going to end up using is the two flanges. i might make it two pieces just tohelp with alignment. i never noticed it was 16guage piping. that's some serious stuffs for exhaust. and i guess if i can get a functioning plasma cutter i'm going to make a turbo support and engine tie down. yes i know i could buy one, but i'm cheap/poor and where is the fun in buying something premade. my altered alternator bracket should be here this week. and my new wheels should arrive soon. so i'm getting pretty pshyched about getting it on the road, but am going to have to borrow a laptop since mine got a koolaid bath. oh well it wouldn't be a typhoon if it wasn't 1 step forward and 2 back from time to time. and of course i just remembered i was suppose to get a 01 or newer starter but accidently grabbed a 93/4 starter so i got myself there. i think i might just buy some kerosene and light it on fire. except the city would probably write me a massive ticket. just can't win

Re: almost there for now -- update *adding Pictures* busy days 4/12

well didn't accomplish anything today, but i did meet up with some of the guys in the austin area and saw my first syclone in person in over ten years. it was prettyt good to meet some of you all. and another positive note i got my piping in today for my new crossover tube, so hopefully i can get a couplw customer type jobs knocked out so i can start on that. i'm going to have to put pictures of one of the jobs up, a go cart i'm putting a new axle in

Re: almost there for now -- update *adding Pictures* busy days 4/12

i know its been a couple weeks since my last update but being back at work has sucked the life out out of me and i've been holding down my recliner for the past couple weeks. but i made big progress yesterday, got my crossover tube finsh moked up and tacked together. i just need to finish welding it and smooth out the welds but should finish that today. also got one of tytilidie's ac delete setups so i can ditch the rest of my ac garbage. also got a couple more odds and ends towards my 4l80e swap. but i'm going to have a lot of time on my hands soon as i'm going to med hold for awhile. so major updates will be coming.
