Oh yeah, I also relocated my coolant temp sensor to the front of the intake.

Hey Rob when are you gonna get that truck up hee and do some logging to find out what you need to get it run good? I thoguth about getting headers at one time but when I saw how much they cost I realized I am a cheap bastard and would just assume dump the money on something worth a shit. I ahd headers on my Vette and would say that I notriced a little difference but I admit they just sounded bad ass and that was really the only point for me.
Our trucks sound like shit anyway and I wouldnt really care to hear the sound difference. Just me thoguh.

the sound from the headers is real badass ,but as far as if u need them i guess u have to decide that yourself,i just did everything to my new build and i am certain the headers will make my build make a decnt gain with headers over stock.

I will have most the parts for my "Custom" Air/Air intercooler this week (-BOV, but thats not needed for the truck to run). Hopefully by this weekend, it should be ready to roll... again...

You can have a cracked manifold welded and repaired; just make sure the person welding it really knows what the heck is going on; not everyone can successfully weld cast. This was mine.

How long and how many miles ago were these repaired? Were they stick welded with a rod with high nickel content? I'm just curious.. I've heard that this can be done but I have never heard of any proven success stories..

Thanks,

Couldn't tell you Matt.....Waller had the repair done; whether he did it or farmed it out is up in the air. They've been on there approx. 18 miles,

The stock mans are cast iron, which can be welded by someone that knows how, but I understand that it is tricky - not that I can do it.

I have a Bowtie block & the temp CTS is on the drivers side, below the ATR header flange. Is it in a diff place on the stk block ? I had to shield the wire to it from the headers, along w a dozen other things. Where I had a problem was on the screwed plugs on the side of the Vortec heads - they were raised and the header flange had to go over that plug. So, we had to file the plug down flat, I think on the Pass side only.

I didn't have the interference problems U were talking about, at least w a PTE-63 turbo.

Yep. I didn't mention it in the thread, but I had to grind that plug on the passenger side head down also.
