Hi guys,
I know this topic is a little old, but if anyone is still interested I can give you a little info on my stokes syclone. If you would like to see some pix of it, Jessee at HyRyde has posted some on his site for me (since I am a little computer illeterate and don't have a website). look under his gallery. Stokes did the whole truck. 1000Hp propshaft, sluminun driveshaft, complete 12 bolt mark williams rear end. total miles is 7K and it is perfect. The timeslip is handwritten because it is so light that I can't get a good enough enough scan to make it readable, but it is an exact copy. I got it from my buddy who has had it for a few years that I run around, and when he decided he wanted to buy an 8 second GN and needed the money it became mine. Jim Stokes told me that it was dynoed on 104 octane and last year we ran the speedpro on the same tune but on 110, went from 24 to 26 pounds, and it was running fat. Also, it had a sick tranny that was losing high gear so I think it has a little better top end to it. This spring will tell if only my new maxed out Rossler 700 stays together. I have a 400 sitting ready to go in but I think if I do it will slow it down. Stokes says that my setup should run 10.7 as it came from him. It's my hope that if I tune better and lean it out with 116 and a couple of other things that I've done I might see 10.6's. Anyone interested in what's in a stokes motot just email me and I'll be happy to share. I to am interested to see how Ryan runs. His pix of the engine build show a lot of dedication and from what I've read he has soaked a tremendous amount of bucks in it. I hope to meet him at the nationals and buy him a beer and talk to him about his build. Also brian green is knocking on the 10 sec door if he hasn't doneit already. What Tony and Nolan from Canada did on a worked stock computed I think is amazing!! I think that for me to go much faster would take major dollars, and I will never NOT be AWD. syclones were AWD. Make em rear wheel and they do go faster, but so will a ford lightning if you put a 600 inch blown engine in it. It's just not a lightning anymore. Sy and ty were AWD. i just love the syclones. not dissing anyone, and I like to see folks go fast. hell, the McCoys are all friends of mine and I will always cheer ya'll on. The workmanship on Stokes is flawless and I think it is pretty fast.
