Hello everyone,
was finishing up an engine rebuild. Marked all the wires so I could place them all back in order. Hooked up the new battery, walked around to the passenger door and the entire cab was filled with smoke. Dash gauges and console were lit up without the key in the ignition. Using the ignition key didn't change anything, all stayed the same except the wiper blades moved all the way up and stopped. The amount of smoke was substantial, had I walked off without checking the cab the truck may have burned to the ground. Only thing I changed was removing the ABS. Any ideas as to what would cause this? So far I haven't found the burnt wires. Will do a more extensive search when I get time.
Thanks for any input
