They don't hook for shit unless you are runnin drag radials. My 60's went from consistant 1.69-1.71's on the stock rims to 1.8-2.0's on the ZR-1's.I thought the bigger footprint would help, boy was I wrong.S4Vince said:I like the sinister, roller look. Is doing this bad for anything?
i can tell you right now, the 275s for the front of my Ty were $158 each, the 315s for the rear were $222 each.SYO237 said:go look up a set of tires to fit those 17X11s...

1. Heavier wheel/tire combo than with 8.5 - 9.5" wide rim.
2. More rolling resistance with wider tire.
3. Truck will push like a pig (understeer) with that much meat in the rear.
Those are the reasons I went with 8.5" wide rims and 255/25/18's instead. Basically, if you're into cornering and roadracing, go with same width all the way around. If you're into just straightline drag racing, get the wide rims and big meats.

With 275's in the front and 315's in the rear can anyone tell me what tire pressures you're using?
Thanks

the ttV8 syclone owned by jason "woundup" is running them in the rear with 315's...he did mention that one of the rear tires (i think right rear) rubs on the cladding when he does his insane hp launches...
