Final post before the event.
What you need:
- Working safety equipment (seat belt, etc...).
- Properly working brakes.
- No leaks of any kind.
- A helmet (we'll have a few to borrow if you need one).
What we need:
- More cones (if you have some (even 1 or 2) that you can spare, please bring them with).
- Help (if you're running, you're helping.....if not, you're still more than welcome to help).
- Air compressor/gauge for general use. Most of you will want to over-inflate your tires for the run(s), so if someone (local?) has a small compressor that they can bring, that'd be awesome.
I'll be there Thursday laying out the course with Dobrick and making some trial runs. On the day of the run, we'll have a short drivers meeting before the event, a course walk-through, tech, and runs. Pretty simple.....and it will be pretty simple. Timing will be done with stopwatch, and since there are only a handful of trucks running, we'll only have one truck on course at a time. That way, everyone gets to watch, there's less pressure on the driver, minimal risk, and helps us route finish back towards the start for easier timing. Times will be hand written, but will be posted on the forum after Nats.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. If I have more to add, I'll edit this post.
