I think a lot of people want a CF 2" cowl hood. Maybe someday.......

Thanks Mike yeah i know. If I can get some interest in the hood I will have them made, I just need a donor hood ;)

Did you use the stock Dash ( not sy/ty ) for the Race Pack Dash. I have one mocked up here somewhere when we were still using the factory dash Pad.

I think a c/f hood would be a better seller. It could also be listed on s-10/s-15 sites as it is not specific for just sy/ty's. The quality of the work on the dash looks very high end, not something that I would kick out 5 large for. A hood on the other hand would be kinda neat, also a big weight saver.

Like I said I didn't intend on building these but since I was using the stock dash for my mold for my racpak, I though what the hell I'll build these too. You also pay for what you get, when you buy a carbon hood your not getting no where close to the qauilty of this dash they are all fiberglass with a carbon overlay ontop. I will sell one of'fs but there going to be high since there's not a big damand for this piece.

Everyone keeps mentioning a hood would be nice, but I think Carbon Fiber AWD has them in progress? you might want to check with him before I move forward on this I wouldn't want to start somthing someone has already going.

he said he can have anything done, so if people are interested in other things like stuff for the center console and door panels, start gauging interest or he will have no reason to do it if only 1 or 2 people are interested.

jhacking, you could maybe make a list of things people have said they are interested in besides the hoods, and see how many you get, if only a couple people then it's not really worth your time i would assume? :2cents:

Are you fitting the CF dash for the IQ3 Dash Display?

If so I'm setting my time attack truck up with this dash and would be interested to know if the price for one.

Mine will be something similar but wont have the center stock hole cutouts, since I will be mounting my Racpak dash there.

Carbon Fiber Glove box, ashtray, radio bezel, large dash piece next? :D plz? :tup: That cluster bezel looks AWESOME!

How cool would that be to have a complete 100% CF dash?

BTW: how strong is CF? Is it strong enough to make CF Body Panels besides hoods? Like...Fenders, Door shells, Tailgates, etc.? and not have it shake and rattle around like Fiberglass does... My old fiberglass cowl hood was an absolute embarrasment...

great idea's, won't be cheap though unless we get alot of people willing to buy. i hope more people get in on this stuff, although the way everything is money is tight for everyone

Adam. I wont be using the IQ3 I have the UDX I have the IQ3 in another car and love that dash. The Carbon dash will be built to take any of the racpak dash's. It will be flat where the stock one has the holes for the gauges, and will be curved like the stock one, but set back to allow for it to be flat.

When molded and fabricated properly, it can be stronger than steel. Yes, it is possible to make fenders, door shells, gates, bodies, and the list goes on. All it takes is money and time ;)
