Hello all,

I am trying to get this GP off the ground, once and for all.

I spoke with Dwayne at CFX Bodywerks and he said he needs atleast five hoods to keep the price down. He said he would work on finding an S-10 hood to mold from.

The quality of their work is exceptional from what I understand.

Here is a link to their website:

Btw, if you want to keep the stock appearance, the hood is paintable.

Advantages are lower weight and lower center of gravity!

Anyone intersted????

Is he going to do a cowl induction - or just stock?

Stock appearing unless everyone votes on a cowl induction. My personal opinion, if we were to go in that direction, I would prefer a flat hood with heat vents instead, similiar to an Evo.

Dwanye doesn't have a Syclone hood to compare, but he estimates around 35 lbs.

Stock style hood latches are available.

I guess everyone wants a cowl induction carbon fiber hood.

I can still organize the GP for the CI hood if you guys want, but there will be minus one hood

I'll buy one (if this ever becomes a reality). I'm not sold on the CI style. However, if I'm buying a custom hood, I want it to look custom. Know what I mean?

I'm with you on the custom look, although I prefer to maintain the factory look. At least a custom hood will give two benefits, weight reduction and heat dissipation.

My main goal is to lose some overall weight and help lower the CG of the car, but I would be interested in a custom hood as long is it's form followed it's function.

The main function of a cowl hood is to allow hot air to escape to reduce engine compartment temps. If most of you interested want the CI hood for this reason, would you consider a design similar to the vents used on some of WRC style cars?

My reason for asking about the the two styles is the following. With the cowl induction hood I would like to fab a ram air set up similiar to those used on the '96-'97 Camaro SS

Duane would be willing to make us any kind of hood as long as we are able to provide at least 5 hood orders. He will even make a one off hood, but it will cost you about $2000 including set up charges.

Can you please post a picture of myclone's hood?

Why would you need ram air if the truck is already forced induction?
