nice.

I'm interested to see what the percentage of drivetrain power loss is.

Did you run your old setup on an engine dyno?

I did not run last years engine on an engine dyno at all - this was my first time.

This is awesome!

I have some questions regarding the spacer you're using on the stock manifold to the T4 turbine housing.

How much room is there between the compressor cover and the fender well? I'm considering trying a turbo that I have kicking around (BW S372, actually!) and am curious if it'll fit with one of those adapters. I was going to make one but it sure is easier to just buy one :)

I am on a T3 still. There is plenty of space towards the passenger-side fender....plenty.

Alex, what do you expect to get out of this motor? When will it be at the track?

Really impressed mate!

Alex,

Logged on to catch up with you and noticed you blowing up the site with insane numbers. Damn it's good to see where your truck has been (we all know) and where it is now. I guess I talked myself out of a V8 swap so I guess I may be keeping the SS a V6.. BTW, I still have those poncho heads for when you want to break the 1000hp mark..lol

Well Mark...the little V6 was not happy with something I did to it mid-summer...

Just goes to show you that at those levels, one mistake in the tune can cause niggles (as they say in your country)! That, and those parts were never rated at that power level (overshot by well over 200hp).

New build is in the works...more details shortly!

Code what?
Re: Changes for 2011

My favorite build by far, sorry to hear about the engine. Looks like the piston melted, wicked. If you dont mind me asking. What fuel pump were you feeding that beast with on those 120#ers. What size feed and return lines?

Goodluck with the new build

Aeromotive A1000 (new style). -8 feed to the front, y-block to two -6's into each fuel rail, out of each fuel rail with -6 into the regulator, and out with a -10 return

Odd that it melted the side rather than the thinner center. Injector spray pattern or swirl in the cylinders I guess. How did you mount up your wastegate piping to your turbo adapter? Cut a hole and braze it on? Cant quite tell from the pictures.

Re: Changes for 2011

I had someone do it for me...cant remember what they did...cast to steel. The way it melted was very weird....looks like a nitrous issue, but I dont squeeze. I am surprised those pistons held what they did for as long as they did. Lesson learned for the next build!
