So I have gathered.
- Wax and grease remover is good. Start with that.
- 320 grip sand by hand...
- prime...
- Block with 320
- prime
- block with 400
- prime
- block with 600
- PAINT!
Now thats a bit crazy. Im sure the shops dont do that. 14 pieces of cladding and the rear wheel arch just took me about 15 minutes for the 1st sand? You guys are talking DAYS and HOURS and HOURS of work. To being it to a sho pand expect that kind of perfection would be a $10,000 paint job with the $8,000 of labor.
What if i just sand with 320 primed and blocked with 400?
What kind of primer do i use? Regular auto primer? Or is it special flex primer?
What have you guys done?
I was told to use some stuff like this on the cladding and call it a day.
