Fall meet near Pittsburgh?

I'd really rather not host a meet. :lol:

but if it must be.....how about October. September is pretty much a mess for me, and every single weekend of September in State College is a home football game...which makes town a cluttered mess.

If everyone wanted a wrench session, then i'd say we should do it in Williamsport at the shop (which will have a complete facelift and 2-post lift by then :tup: ). There are 2 dragstrips within 1hr-1.5hrs away from there that we could hit up test n tune.

I know when we talked at Nats, you mentioned you're down for some sort of meet that you don't have to plan. After Nats, I completely understand. When I mentioned State College I wasn't thinking of your place, it was just a suggestion for location. Like maybe if there's a good hotel in the area, or a park or something where everyone could meet at.

In my opinion, I'd rather see a fall meet where we can all hang out, shoot the shit, BBQ some lunch, and just relax. Going to the track would be cool. I wasn't thinking of a wrench session. LOL, I really don't want to work on any more stuff...

Agree...more of a "meet" rather than an "event."

Wondering if we lose some of the NY/NJ crowd to State College? Might be poll time with the 10/24 date.

Or...do we also do a Hooters/Pocono meet in November for the far northeast crowd?

there are a ton of parks in my town, all have pavillions and grills that are free/cheap to use, just gotta sign up for them. One of the newer parks has a 9hole Frisbee Golf course. It has the nicest parking lot and is in away from downtown state college. There is a motel 6 that is the cheapest hotel in the area...but there are tons of hotels. Just all are sold out on football weekends.

Closest drag strip to State college is 60mi: www.beaversprings.com
(and you drive past Camp Woodward to get there, for anyone into that sorta thing)
The drive is a fun mountainous/windy drive. Never done it in a syty, but in normal cars that handle well is always half the fun of going drag racing for me.

If people really want to meet in state college, i can set all this crap up. We're just not going to have awards/shirts/etc...it'll just be a friendly gathering. I can probably also talk to PSU to let us use their scales to weigh all of our trucks.

State College has a hooters too btw....but there are other places with much better food imo. They're parking lot is small too, but i might be able to get it roped off for us if we have enough people.

if you really need to trailer it 100mis....then yes i can find you a place to put it. I live in a townhouse with limited parking, but i know of a few safe spots we can put them.

October 24 is bad for me, but I am only one person. The whole month of October is shot for me, how about the 7th of November if everyone is willing to change for one guy. If not, my feelings will not be hurt.
