It wasn't a question to Jimmy to say that I joined before him. I knew that he joined before me (but who joined before whom is irrelevant anyhow). I also own a couple of forums, so I'm fully aware of how admin privledges work. I was just asking him if something in particular happened to his account (crash, name change gone wrong, etc...). I asked this simply because I knew that he had joined well before 07/01.

Personally, I joined when Bdubb and Potter asked me to back in the summer of 2000 (when we were doing all the planning for Nationals on the mailing list), and regardless of the first post, the best post is still the photoshop war between Bdubb and Green (and eventually everyone else who got involved).

Ahhh, the old 'net.... back when all you had was command-line e-mail and ftp.
Good times. Back before there was all the noise, SPAM, and spyware.
I used to hand-forward the mailing list... and edit the posts for spelling mistakes.

Hell, I still have some batch command line FTP transfers programs I use. Speaking of the old net, I pulled my old C64 out of the attic the other day and saw the 1660 300 baud modem (and the upgraded 1670 1200 baud one) that I used when I was 6 years old. Memories.....

You know, I saw that the other day. I'd love to see Commodore make a comeback. Maybe Infocom (Zork, Wishbringer, H2G2, etc...) will spark a text-based, interactive, fiction game revival as well. :rotf:
