That is going to look great when it is done. The chrome in front will make the SY look like it is smileing at you.

Re: FMIC project started.

Cleaned the turbo up real nice since I had it off for reclocking it. Im also going to port the wastegate now that I have it off.

Im think Im going this route with the piping. Once I reclock the turbo so its pointing down its a very short distance to the intercooler. The only fall back on this is the pipe is on top of the oil cap. I will have to pull the piping off every time I change the oil.

Looks routed like my old Dequick a2a piping..............I never had to pull the tube for an oil change....his old kit required a hole to be cut in the wheel well.:2cents:

Is that 3" pipe. That looks really clean. I have mine figured out so I do not have to cut in the wheel well. It just goes past the oil filter lines. I am going to get the piping welded so clamping is at a minimum.

Hey alright! I was cruzing your posts yesterday for something like that. I was going to make one. Those look good. What are you charging?

$50 shipped for the bracket and hardware. $60 shipped for a powdercoated one.

Re: FMIC project started.

you can take off a lot more material on the inside than you did. I used a dremel on mine and it got fairly smooth/pretty.:

Re: FMIC project started.

i only had it on the truck for about 150 miles..all break in of my newly assembled motor....so i have no clue if he had any real affect. Turbo definitely spooled instantly for me, but it was also paying with .030 pistons, 412cam, and vortec heads.

Whats the word on my turbo clocking bracket?

Re: FMIC project started.

I got the Renz turbo clocking bracket to use the stock waste gate. Its not going to work for what I wanted to do. I wanted to piont the turbo down and towards the passenger fender. The turbo outlet gets in the way of mounting the wastegate like that. This is a great bracket for someone that wants to route the intercooler piping to the oposite side of the truck that the turbo is on. Im going to sell this turbo and get a PTE51. I was just wondering if the PTE51 turbo will clock down and towards the passenger fender and still be able to use an internal wastegate? I see that the wastegate on that turbo mounts on the back side of the compressor and not the front.
