Front end limiters

These are the pics of my limiters I made for the front of my truck. There is a nut welded to the under side of the control arm. The one on top is used to lock the bolt in position.

You can back them off and still have full travel in the front. Or crank them down and have a truck that goes forward insted of up. Or anything in between.

Ps. yes I know its dirty I live on a dirt road and it sux.

Re: Front end limiters

we have the exact same thing on my dads 55 chevy. work extremely well. not only can you keep the front down, but you can keep it level to really plant the tires. i am hoping to have this accomplished before i head to the track.

Re: Front end limiters

Neat idea. I wonder if these are similar to the limiters that Jeremy is using. Anyone else have pics of another limiter?

Have you thought of putting a adjustable polly bump stop. instead of metal to metal ...

By the way great idea

Nolan's were very simliar, only with a nut-insert vs an actual nut.
I've seen many, many trucks like this... it's cheap, and it works.

A poly "bumper" on the end of the bolt would be a good idea....

Re: Front end limiters

So you have a nut welded to the underside of the upper control arm, and the nut on the top side tightens down against the topside of the upper to lock it down?

Does the end of the bolt go into anything or does it just push against the mount (or thats the lower control arm hard to see) ?

just curious , wouldnt you want it to bottom out on the frame , not the lower control arm ?

Re: Front end limiters

It does hit the frame. Well atleast mine do. Hits the same spot tas the bumpstop that it replaces did.

Re: Front end limiters

Hey Mav, did you drill out that hole any for that bolt? Or did you just use the same size as the bump stop bolt that was in there originally? (It looks bigger, thats why I ask.) ;)
