Re: Going to look at syclone with 60k mikes..tips?
Focus on the major issues. It has 60k. so it is not a museum piece. So are you going to daily drive it and are you willing to pay there asking price? Then is it worth it. If it runs, drives, and stops. everthing else can be fixed in time. Things to think about is cab rust in corners and under the doors. Fenders can be replaced. Under bed can be repaired. paint condition. interior condition, cracked dash, worn out arm rests, worn out steering wheel. cracked instrument cluster, broken center conceal door. Cracked cladding can be repaired. missing cladding can add up quickly. Do the obvious. compression check, check for shaft play on turbo. drive it. make sure it shifts. don't worry about the ABS. because they suck and you will most likely bypass it later on. check the date on the tires. how new are the brakes? If you can hook it up to a laptop using tunerpro or datamaster and get an idea on how it is running. but being how you are new. That might be a bigger PITA than it is worth. Do your research on how much other trucks have sold for in the same condition and simulator milage. HOPE THIS HELPS.
