............Some folks think these TRUCKs are the ugliest things ever......some might think your taste in women are the ugliest thin ever.
If this thread was about opinions rather than requests and forward discussions on the making of them....your words would count for something, not much, but something. ;)
......and of course...no offense meant on either of our parts,I'm sure.

Vinny are you planning on making these hoods anytime soon? I just about ready to order 2 hoods from goodmark.

Making of 2" Cowl Goodmark CF hoods ? Yes. 2.5 or up? No,. I've already got the substructure molds built. I've metal worked the top skin to fit its best. Next is the bodywork and paint ,wetsand ,polish and top skin mold to build.
Soon ? As always ,my day job and work travel schedules rule my life a great deal of the time.I'm attemting to finish all my hood projects before Fall.
Cheers,Vinny

Sure Matt. I'm almost done repairing the damage caused from teh uninsured 18 year old girl. ( Nailed me in the bedside).
I ended up bodyworking the majority of the body to freshen her back up. Another one of those schedule setbacks, but it is my daily driver.....got to keep representing well.

Richie Rich, yes you can.....but this isn't quite rolling yet. Get excited when I've posted up some pix of the first few asembled and out of the molds.

Maybe some CF cladding in the future

Thats where the majority of my money for CF projects has gone thus far. A full set of extra Syclone cladding being modified for Infusion molding. You've got to remember....its 14 (fourteen) individual claddings and also the mounting systems. Its a shitpot of work and then some. Not to mention the size of space to properly store them with temperature control.
I just pray to God that when I'm done with the molds the Sy/Ty community can support the purchases to keep me from losing my everloving a$$. ;)
Cheers,Vinny

I've been waiting to see your carbon fiber parts as well - count me in when they become available.

Re: GP on carbon fiber hoods!

Has any body ever done a carbonfiber tailgate for the syclone? I think would look nice on the back of our trucks against the black paint!

This is not for a Syclone, but you get the idea...(I think this one is for a ford pickup).

Darn....pics don't come up(on my end anyway).....I'll see if I can get ahold of him to see what he had to pay for the gate.

Thanks for the links...

It was made by Torrey Ward out of SoCal. Sold to Sean Morris, then to Marty then sold to XplicitRacing on here. It went for a pretty penny as well.

Ive talked to Torrey about the gate. He actually has one on his truck right now as well. He said the mold wasnt the best of quality but it was good enough. If he had to do it again, he would have done it better.

Re: GP on carbon fiber hoods!

I do have my extra Sy gate modified for an Infusion plug and waiting on the second side mold to be finished. I'll announce something when ready.
I have a Ty gate in stock......it would come later on. I do believe the Florida guys were still working on a smoothie Sy gate? I can't speak for them though.

The stock full CF gates will be sweet and strong as heck. I've engineered in some stout light substructures.

It'll be stock full CF hoods first, then this Goodmark 2" cowl hood next. Stay tuned.
Cheers,Vinny
