Re: Ha! Man this forum is dead!
Yes to this all day long. I just got into a FB argument with some eyebrow ring'd punk that needed a little guidance in his ignorance regarding how retail sales work over a stupid rotor picture. The post has been long dumped since I broke my own FB group rules.....but I couldnt help it, he deserved what I gave him. Yes, I am slapping myself on the wrist for bad behavior.
The process to post links from here on FB is great. It helps move people over here to where it's a better controlled environment as far as content goes and not just continuous blabber of "SHOW ME YOUR RIMS / LOOK AT MY VIDEO OF MY TRUCK PARKED ON A HILL DOING NOTHING / LOOK AT MY NEW GASKETS" type content. Of course, you have to realize the foundation of FB is for quick posts that engage people for a short while and then it's off to the next thing.....whereas here, you can look up information that happened 10 years ago and add to it. It is two very different medias....both have it's positives and negatives without a doubt.
Adam is right about FB contributing to the awareness of these trucks. But as a long time member/owner it is infuriating to read the misguided info that is constantly presented on there. A lot of times I just post a link to .NET as my response to someones question. Or I simply message the author to help guide them. I still come here for any tech, but it is fun to view picks and guys projects on FB.
