Shut up! I looked at it for 10mins...it would fit perfect. wanna have heat/defog. Lol. Thought of a pod ontop of column panel. They make one but not for 2nd gen.

why not ditch that ugly ass radio in lieu of a single din...and delete the lil shelf/bin and gain yourself a place for a couple gauges

got a little work done. took out the iridiums and put in some RC5s. what a breeze without fender wells. lol. put in my new 83# hi z injectors (thanks sportmachines), and started wiring up my boost solenoid (thanks big mike/keith), and my ALDL to USB cable came in last week. so hope to get it running this weekend (fingers crossed)

The steering column pods from the full sizes will fit some of the later model 2nd gens but I'm not sure about the earlier ones. If you want to try it I can send you an old one for mock up. I used it for a while when my truck was supercharged but it blocked the view of the cluster and got a bit annoying after a while.

i saw that pod/column cover. i like it but did notice that the didn't have the second gen available. im gonna look into it. my other issue was i don't have a column shifted column any more. so i have to see if they have it without the shifter. thanks for the info.

UNwrapped my manifolds and crossover tonight. used it to wrap the ss dp. figured that it gives off alot of heat and wont rust from the wrap/save plug wires etc. it came out pretty nice. i also took out the drivers side fender well. i was on the fence to keep it or not. i can always put them back, but its soooo much easier to work on the truck without them. ill post some pics tomorrow.

how do i clean the center section of the turbo? its cast? looking kinda crappy. i don't think i can paint it, prob just burn off from the heat. suggestions?

gonna get crackn this weekend. wife is going out saturday so i wont be interrupted....change the oil/filter, wire up the boost solenoid, and hope i can get the damn TPRT to show some data.

well, wife was MIA sat....did get the boost selonoid done, changed the break in oil to some fresh mobil 1/frams filter, mounted the FP reg in the 4" cowl hood.had the AN fittings/braided laying around. which worked out good. i messed with TPRT but still can't get the ALDL to connect. did the moates test. checked the com connections....no dice. ill start fresh next weekend. but did get some stuff done.

you can have the center section ceramic coated but you might as well rebuild the turbo if you're gonna do that.

mounted the FP gauge in the cowl hood with some AN fittings and line i had in the shed.

started cutting the welds off of the rear bump stop brackets. gonna borrow an air hammer this week to knock them off.

have a few more small things to do....grease the cardan joint, cut a half coil outta the front spring, install new side view mirrors,.... .going to try and get insurance on it asap (fingers crossed)
