next order of business is to weld he powder coated tail pipe in place. heres some pics from this weekend. the truck is up and running. i hosed it down today and blew it clean with my electric leaf blower. lol. car wash style. lol

went with a friend to weld on the powder coated tail pipe through the bed,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, that went well until the drive home. the alternator blew up..caught fire. i shut it down and shut the battery switch on the bed off. ill post up the findings tomorrow. im going to bed. thankful the truck didn't burn down. lol

I have to get better @ my wifes flickr account and post my pics.....anyway, i fixed my junk today. The starter wire moved over and got burt on the exhaust manifold. Grounded and bjrt the alternator to bits. Replq

i gotta get it together and update my build thread. the truck is E90, pretty and getting around nicely.

fixed the burnt alternator. the three wires from the starter to the alternator fell over onto the exhaust manifold and burnt it in half and grounded out. made the wire to the alternator disintegrated. blew up the alternator but shut the truck off/shut the bat switch off quickly. changed the alternator and replaced the damaged wires. prodject "sharkbastard" is up and running.

if flickr wasn't being difficult id post up some pics.

wow, its been a few months since i posted. honestley i havent even been on syty forever. between getting back to my regular job in january, and getting back to life and family and blah blah blah ive had alot on my plate.

a quick catchup of whats been going on in my truck life........

i got the truck painted cause i couldnt drive it since my double vision was so bad after my accident. had the wheels exhaust tip and brake light bezels powder coated.

put the truck back together ie, exhaust, DP, FP, a2a piping, wheels, battery, interior etc.

went to a friends import shop to weld my tailpipe, and on the drive home the wires from the starter up to the alternator fell over to the exhaust manifold and burned through the loom and shorted out and toasted the wires to the alternator. leaving my stranded. i replaced the wires to the alternator AND the alternator and the truck was all good again.

here is the "funny now" problems. i turned up the boost. ran some errands. got on the expressway and at about 90ish the steel hood comes up through the windshield cause i forgot to put the hood pins in. when i got home my wife was like"WHAT THE HELL HAPPEND? WHAT DID YOU HIT?!!!!" nothing. i forgot to pin the hood on.

$240 and had the windshield replaced. removed the smooth fiberglass painted wiper cowl cover that got a little banged up. cowl hood edge got bent when it went through the windshield. and now im back up and running. no money to fix the hood/cowl right now.

the headlights stopped working. no beep when the headlight switch is on. no turn signals or hazards working (stopped working when i came back from sportsmachine). i checked the two grounds for the headlights and the fuses. i couldn't figure it out. im electrically challenged. lol

keith came down from PA and worked out all of the wiring issues with the headlights. he also cleaned up the rats nest of wires above the drivers side front wheel. it was mostly stuff im not using ie. abs,cruz,emissions etc. i fed him and kept him hydrated. lol. BIG THANKS TO YOU SY1193

put some 10mm tylor wires. yeah i know 8.8mm work fine. but i always like the beefy wires. and they needed to be replaced. put some shrink sleeves over them by the manifolds

also moved the catch can onto the radiator support and moved the boost solenoid.
