Hey guys, I've had a TiAl 40mm for a couple of months now and it has worked perfect! I got it with the .8 bar spring and it will perfectly control boost upto 22psi. Of course I do have an electronic boost control but some of you have had decent succes with the bleeder setups.

just my .02

BTW if you want more boost you simply have to order a heavier spring.

Why did you decide to go with the .8 bar spring?

I was thinking of going with the 1 bar spring, but I remembered BG was saying he had some issues with his 15psi spring not opening until 20psi, with the HKS.

.8 is 11.60psi
.9 is 13.05psi
1 is 14.50psi

Got those numbers here

What is your base boost with your .8 bar spring? I see you have had it up to 22, is that the highest you can go with that spring?

I might go with the .9 if that will allow me to go to 24psi.

a 35 is too small for our trucks.
40 is even pushing it.

I disagree with this statement. If we were running 3-6 psi I would maybe agree but I don't know of any syty running less than 15. The more boost you run the less exh you bleed. Like I said before the 40mm TiAl I have works so good I don't even look at the boost gauge anymore. If you have some data from testing that you've done I certainly would like to see it. (always willing to learn something new)

As far as disabling the stock internal WG I simply safety wired it shut and removed the boost solenoid.

al, that statement was coming from my experience with the dsm crowd.
people running 40mm tial's woulg get them so they could accurately run 9-12psi..but you do have a damn good point that i did not think about. who runs less than 15 here? i know I wont.
