GP is over, i shipped the first kit yesterday and the rest are going out as soon as i get the rest of the shocks in.

if you missed the GP its not a huge deal, regular price is only $40 more than the GP price.

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs

i accidentally sent someone a mismatched set of springs. when you guys get your kits can you please check to make sure your part numbers match on both springs? one of you has a random 575lb spring thats meant for my truck.

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs

What would the spring rate recommendation be for a 3050lb regular cab 4x4 Sonoma?

550lb?

E, I've got the bushings and ball joints but that's it. Please let me know when you can send the rest of the stuff. I need to get my truck out of the shop so I can start working on stuff for other guys....can't let it down without the springs and shocks

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs

I'm at school and will be back Christmas break after the semester ends. I'm doing all my homework and parts research now so that when I return, I can order everything at once so things are available for the build come spring break. Is there an easy one-size-fits-3050lb-all answer or do you want me to call first because there are other variables? If so, what?

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs

Well i got the passenger side in and i did not have to put it in upside down little more or less work. but i think it will be better then going upside down. i can adjust the spring with out taking it apart and i have more room at the cv shaft.

my ? is why did you guys put them in upside down.

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs

Got the drivers side in same way not upside down. after looking close. (with this setup) the front of the truck will have to sit about 26 1/2" or so "( from ground to cladding) to have any kind of shock travel.
( my tire size 255/R50/16 )

(This setup At 29" its toped out) (Stock setup is around 33"- 34")

So at 26 1/2"or so will give me only about 2" each way. A longer shock would be better or more shock travel.

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs

it makes too much sense to me to install the shock in the normal position as in oboym's last picture

what was the original reason for having them upside down?

The clearances sometime get really tight at the top. Some trucks will fit not fit that way (or only one side will)
