let me here how a low 11 second run whilst letting off at the 1000' mark makes your assumption of a 12 second Mustang correct?
I never said your mustang runs 12's. I never once called it a 12sec car. I simply said it ran 11.2, giving you accurate credit for the time you ran.
Or that I'm not running the times? Please dude, don't do this, you're really reaching now. For your info, that's a mid 10 run at mid 120mph trapspeed. So I let off for the sake of my motor. Big deal. At least I'm not speculating that my car is faster than 99% of all other cars of a certain make. You've been the only halfway intelligent dissenter to my opinion here, don't blow it now.
I fully understand that you didn't make your ideal pass, I've done the same in the past. I also agree, it's not worth wreckin parts. However, MY syclone last year ran a 12.47 @ 105.6 You may look at that and say the MPH is kinda low. Well, my torque converter doesn't lock. On MOST, not all, but MOST Sy/Ty's, locking the converter gives you about 2 tenths and will pick some MPH aswell. So can I post that my truck has ran a 12.26 @ 109. FUCK NO! My best pass on paper is a 12.47 @ 105.6, regardless if it was broke or not. I now have a brand new built trans and 2800 stall w/ lockup. Now I SHOULD be able to run faster than my previous times by at least a couple tenths. Do I know what it'll run, No. I can guess. Guessing isn't good enough for me when it comes time to brag about how fast shit is because someone is going to call me on it and I'm fucked. If I go around town saying my truck runs 12.1 @ 110, someone is going to ask for the slip, someone will ask for a date and at what track, then I go, "uuhhhh, well, I uh uh haven't actually run that yet..." and I look like a homo. Thats all I'm sayin. By the numers you have, there's a good chance it may go 10's, but right now, it hasn't. It's a 11.2 mustang, and there are many Sy/Ty's that will beat an 11.2 mustang on the street.
As far as the 99% thing. Like I said, there are MILLIONS of mustang on the streets from 1964.5 to 2004. MILLIONS! Yes there are a lot of mustangs that are fast, there are a lot of mustangs that are modified, but I'm willing to bet that less that 1% of those TOTAL PRODUCTION cars, would beat my truck in the 1320. Now this doesn't mean 99% of stangs at the track, or out street racing, this is 99% of total mustang production.
Same with the Syclone thing. There were 2995 made. A bunch have been smashed, some are still bone stock, some are fast, several run low 10's, one runs 9's. The point is, there are WAY more than 5 or 6 Syclones of the 2995 that can beat an 11.20 mustang on the street.
