Re: How To Test intercooler Pump?
I dont know about unkinking, My hose had been kinked for...years...so it was pretty much ruined. I had to pull the lower intercooler to deal with it. I ended up getting rid of the metal line, getting rid of the stock pump and running an RV pump made by sureflo and running 3/4 heater hose from the intercooler, into the pass fender, under the battary, and to the intercooler and pump, I did it kinda differently, and mounted the pump to a metal braket I build in front of the driver side frame rail. I think the pump was like, 50 from a member on here, and the hose was 13 dollars from the zone, plus some hose clamps. Took some time, but it seems to work well. But look around your system, check behind the lower intercooler, where the pump is, you may have to do some diggin, but you can prolly take that upper fan shroud off, and the fan and feel around down there. as for air being trapt in the lines theres a bunch of ways people say to do it, Somehow mine never had that happen, but it seemed like people would fill the system as much as they could and modify like a 20 oz coke bottle to fit snuggly into the fill hole of the upper intercooler when pressed in, then fill that bottle with coolant and sqeeze and massage the bottle and that somehow worked. I would look into that more though...
