Don't be fooled that by the pump humming it is working ok. My stock pump hummed, didn't blow fuses, but was actually seized solid! Didn't pump didly squat. I was unsure as to how much water movement there should have been, but only proved it by taking the lower cac & pump off to hotwire it direct to a battery.

my pump vibrated( before i hose flushed air from the system- )but didn't move any water.
so much in fact that i disconnected the hose from the outlet side and no water came out.
drove it for 3 days like this


after flushing it now moves water in the intercooler
