my truck is 4.155 with a 3.4 stroke (de-stroked) Put together with whatever good used parts i could find at the time.. still makes 1200 with small turbos and only 24psi.

now that i put an alternator, and one of our coil over suspension kits on the front, it drives nice on the street :)

c'mon dont tell us YOUR running "training turbos" also!

Of the fastest trucks out there i think i have the smallest motor. its standard stroke and only .020 overbore.

not a typo, it s its only .020 overbore.

truck is probably the heaviest also.

Re: Largest displacement Syclone motor?

A few years back in a Mini truckin' mag they built a 4.3 up from the 262 to a 325 w/ 400hp using 350 peices. The mag has a step by step build, i think the article is called "400 hp 4.3".

1200 bucks for parts and this engine is N/A. with some boost imagine the possibilites.

It's just a six

That's nice!
But when are you going to race it? :)

I really like the idea of destroking. It puts much less of a moment arm on the rods. The rpm can go higher, safer.

HA THATS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

THATS THE 10134371 V6 Aluminum Block THAT I JUST MADE A POST ABOUT

WHERE DID YOU GET THAT

That is exactly what i intend to do, dump a 305CI gm performance V6 into my truck but i CAN NOT find any info anywhere on the freekin' thing.

did that bolt right in? I have lots of questions for you guys.

I just finished building a 310 and a 308. both should make close to 1khp.

that phone number on your website... can i get price quotes and what not?
what kind of money are you talking to build one of those 310CI engines?

I'm talking N/A on 87 gas and will it work with EFI from a 2003 X motor? Basically use the ECM, and engine accessories from my X engine including the PCM. Some how i doubt the NVG3500 will handle that kind of power, but maybe with a performance clutch there is a chance if i don't abuse it.... lol.

I do have 8.5" rearend in the truck with the factory LSD... and anti hop shock full ZQ8 1 piece drive shaft.

how does that bolt up to the bell housing on the NVG3500?

thanks.

thats impossible. maybe from 265hp to 325hp, but definately not cubic inches. To make 325ci out of a 4.3 you need a bowtie block and a stroked crank to start. Neither of which could be found for $1200 alone, not the mention the other $10k in custom parts you would need.

As for when my truck is gonna be raced.... probably never at this rate :-(

but hey atleast it runs, and makes more power then yours.. hehe

Re: Largest displacement Syclone motor?

i could have misread that article.. gona have to go into the garage and look for the mag. Could of sworn it was from 262 to 325 at 400.. hooray for garage searching. If i find the article ill scan it up and post it.. if not, im an idiot :)

Re: Largest displacement Syclone motor?

it wouldnt be the first time i have seen something misprinted in an article, but trust me no 325ci 90 deg v6 is being built for $1200. It's hard enough to just obtain the parts to do it, yet alone on a budget. I vaguely remember the article myself, and i dont remember anything about a stroked shortblock.

for a motor like that you can expect to spend close to 15k depending on exact components and cyl head choice and intake style.

I give you a lot of credit for that, Ed.

Re: Largest displacement Syclone motor?

Does anyone know if a 4.00 stroke crank and 4.00 rods (with custom pistons of course) will work in a Bowtie iron block? Can it be clearanced enough without "gutting" the block in areas that would effect strength? Nolan.. Mike.. anyone want / think they can do the block work and rotating assembly for me? I'm shooting for 4.00 x 4.00 to get a 302 ci engine.

Re: Largest displacement Syclone motor?

Yes not really a big deal. Not sure why you would stay 4.00 bore. You will make more power with a larger bore as well as size increase.
