Look what some POS did to my truck today...

Well i dont know if this is the correct forum but here it is. This dirt bag changed lanes right into me and had the nerve to say i changed lanes into him. Since there is no witnesses, the cop never showed up (after 3 hours), and he could'nt provide proof of insurance now its left to the insurance companies to hash it out. Well here are the pics.

P.S. I am going to need to get my hands on a front bumper support and cover, front left cladding, grill, fog light and bracket and who knows what else. One of my new grand sport wheels also got a little scuffed. So let me know what you guys got... Thanks, Paul Z.

I sure hope he had insurance!! On a brighter note, it looks like the rims can be cleaned up, I don't see any scratches...

That bumper cover doesn't even look cracked(it will return to its original shape). I bet if you seperate the cover from the support and beat the support back to shape and let that cover set in the sun for a few hours that it will be just fine.. Obviously it will need to be repainted but I wouldn't give up on it so quickly...

I agree, that cover is very much repairable. Even if you replace it, save it!

That kinda sh*& irritates the heck outta me. Such a hassle. Sorry to see this, good luck nailing the guy. At least he stopped. We had a guy at work have a minor collision but he didn't stop. He's no longer with us.

i wish i could have kicked his ass... But then my future federal law enfocement carrier would be non existant.. What really sucks is after we pulled over on the side of the road a car with some black dudes rolled by and yelled at the guy "You hit the dudes truck" and then drove away. So there goes my only witness.
Thanks guys for all of the advise and hook up on parts. I will be in contact with you guys soon. Well see how my insurance company wants to fix it. If they pay for a new (used) front bumper and support then i will keep these.

Damn, that sucks! Sorry to hear. I know how you feel. Some jackass apparently backed into my truck while I was at work all day and broke my driver's side rear cladding piece then just left. People suck so bad.

Seein this stuff makes me wanna throw up man. So sorry to hear about it. Cops are dicks about accidents here in arizona too. I was ran off the road in my xtreme, over a bush, over the curb, and 30 feet off the road onto a sidewalk. I was literally 1 block from a cop shop. 5 Cops pass me, slow down, look over, and continue on there way to the station. It took 5 hours for someone to finally show up. Good thing was, cause the other guy left he was cited as at fault so my insurance covered all of it :tup:

The guy who hit him seemed to be a complete tool. With morons like that on the road, it's really hard to keep nice, rare and fast vehicles in good condition.

The bumper is torn forward.That would not have looked like that if you changed lanes into him. It sounds like he's been down this road before. His insurance company will claim no witnesses. Yours will pay for yours and his will pay for his since the cop never sighted anybody. The should have had enough experience to tell from that damage.
I had the EXACT same damage when a lady in a full size van was pulling in front of my Ty to park. My truck was sitting stationary with no one in it. Think about yours and make it red. That's the ONLY difference in the damage. Your telling the truth, I can tell it from my personal experience with my truck and the motion her van went through which would be JUST like changing lanes in front of someone. They pulled the front cover and let it go back in shape and replaced the support and the left front cladding because it broke the tab area off. Yours still looks fixable. I'm sorry to see something like this happen. Dip$hit was probably on a cell phone when he did it.

Still waiting on parts... I got the check for 5K from my insurance company. Stay tuned.
