Re: LS1-Sonoma GT build (updated with pics)
Well, thought I'd give an update. Don't have any pictures, but it really doesn't look alot different from last week.
We finished basically all the wiring this weekend...all that is left is the AC request, and speed sensor wires. Got my new fuel cell cap and installed it as well. It is pretty neat...I bought an RCI "fast fill neck" to replace the latch that came on it. What we did is had the neck cut off the base of the cap...than the original gas tank neck and cap welded onto the base of the cap. So this way it will be emissions legal and they can pressure test the fuel cell.
I got my new air intake tubing today as well as my new coolant overflow tank and I have an air filter on the way. So well throw all that stuff on the truck this weekend and hopefully get the guy over to my dad's house to tune the computer. Assuming he comes and tunes the computer the truck will be running this weekend. In which case we will take it to the exhaust shop next week sometime.
EDIT: Incase anyone was wondering about the flex-a-lite fans being powerfull enough, we hot wired them this weekend and they suck Alot of wind. They are rated to flow more CFM than the ramcharger fans as well...just thought I'd let ya know while it was on my mind.
