I have mentioned this once before but think it is time again.

Can we please handle the for sale section just like a majority of other boards do.

PRICES ARE REQUIRED.

if you want to have a auction put the item on ebay. If you want to sell it, post a price!

That isn't to much to ask and should be required. No for sale price, then it must not be for sale and delete it.

Thank you.

Re: **mods**

I agree... I'm tired of looking at things "for sale" and there's no pictures to go by and the price is "make offer". If you want offers put it on ebay and let the highest bidder win, if you want to sell it for a certain price, post what you're asking for it!

Re: **mods**

So you'd rather people make another post asking what something is worth....and then make a post putting it for sale?

how about no.

I agree with Renz, what something is worth to one person may not be what it's worth to another so sometimes best offer is the way to fly.Not to mention some people dont have a clue what things are worth.

Re: **mods**

I'll agree. There is no point in posting things such as "I don't know what to ask because I don't know what its worth." If your wanting to sell something, do a little homework, or at least ask people privately before you sell it.

Re: **mods**

If someone posts something for sale then says it will go to the first reasonable offer because they dont know how much its worth:rotf: Then the first offer should be the one it sells for:2cents:

Re: **mods**

do you guys really want to make it difficult for people to list things for sale though? If unknowing users have to jump through hoops just to post something for sale...then you'll just start seeing "$1000 obo" for random parts like door ecutcheons. Or other ambiguous amounts just so that they put a price on something.

Next you'll want people not listing items asking for too much money.

Then you'll have it all your way and wonder why no one posts items for sale and why you never come across those steal of a deals anymore. If someone posts something and they blindly asking for an offer....and sell it to your low ball offer amount....will you complain then?

I really think you guys aren't thinking about all scenarios here...rather just getting pissy if someone posts something for sale with say $500 in mind...but posts not price and then laughs at your $250 offer.

Re: **mods**

plus you yourself silly have posted other ads sans prices. Sure was convenient enough for you then. There was obviously a reason you chose not to post a price then.....

Re: **mods**

This guy sure has a lot of nerve not posting a price in his ad:

Did you even read his add. He was willing to give some stuff away to anyone who needs it. If someone is asking for best offer then they already have a price in mind and are hoping to get a higher price by asking for offers. Sometimes it works sometimes is does'nt. I personally wont inquire about an ad that does not have a price but that is just me because i know what they are trying to do. If someone does not know how much something is worth then how will they know if an offer they get is a good price. When i part out cars I search the forums for items that have previously sold, ebay completed listings is also a good place, but is sometimes a crap shoot also. JMHO

yes i read it...point is there was no price. Not everything even has a price. I've given, and been given, plenty of parts over the years. If you don't inquire about a part that doesn't have a price on it, then you must not be in dire need of the part. :2cents:

Again, a part is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. Going by previous ads/auctions/years/economies/ages/quality/etc is only going to get you so close to what something "should" be worth, in your opinion.

A lot of people sell things based on what they paid for it. A lot of people sell things based on what others sell similar items for. A lot of people just buy parts and put them on shelves and never install them. We all fit into at least 1 of these categories
