Re: motor mounts?

When I talked to Waller and a few other guys about the Energy suspension mounts they said forget it since the exhaust manifolds are right there... They end up melting the urithane.
I did solid lowers on our truck and Moroso Solid engine mounts.
No problems with the engine moving anymore.. actually feels better than floppy mounts.

the moroso mounts you bought, do you have a part number? i wanted to put poly mounts in my S10 when i put in my syty motor in.

The Moroso mounts are solid. Not poly. I don't know the part number for them but I ordered mine from Mike at race proven motors. He sells the frame pads and solid mounts as a kit if you want. My truck actually idles pretty smooth with the solid mounts.

since my truck is an S10 and not a syty. im thinking of using poly mounts to go with a poly tranny mount. i really don't want to have violent shacking or feel alot of unnecesary vibration from the solid mounts.

im probobly gonna use header wrap on the manifolds and about two feet of the DP. to keep the mount from getting heat soaked and melting them.

i know the wrap makes headers rust faster. but it will def make the under hood temp go down alot. and when they get too rusty, ill just buy some coated headers for a million dollars.

Re: motor mounts?

Got mine from RPM. there A pain to put in. will need A friend over to help with them. Good luck!! Fit awsome though. O you will need to make your trans. solid also or it could brake the bellhousing under load. just FYI.

Aj.
