Anthony and I headed for the track today to stop in and pick up my 10 second time slip, of course we hit a few minor road blocks.
First pass was an impressive 1.61 60' and that's it, time slip had my 60 foot but nothing else, clock didn't show it either, probably a low 9.
Second pass looked a little more promising, with 24 psi and 23 degrees of timing and a decent calibration it ran an 11.30 @ 118.65 with a 1.65 60. Mph looked a little low so I took a look at the diacom file and found that I started the run with 125 degree mats and ended at 197, I think a good cool down was in store.
Third pass, this baby was ready to go, cold as hell, two more psi (guessing) and two more degrees of timing. Figured I'd check the truck over before the pass, looked down at the intercooler scoop and seen it was bent down, so I reached down to bend it back up and guess what, Jim Bell stuck me right in the a** for the second time, end tank split wide freaking open at the weld.
Loaded up project "untouched L35's" and drove 250 miles back home. This year kind of reminds me of BG's attempt to go 10's, every time I think I got it running hard enough something goes wrong. O'well, there's always next weekend, I should be able to round up a T-storm by then.
