well, I ordered parts that I hoped was going to give me the green light on making my prototype, but of course they sent me the wrong parts and I havent been able to contact them :roll: figures.

GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!! The parts I ordered 2 weeks ago, then shipped the wrong ones, then told last week the new ones were shipped, FINALLY ARRIVED TODAY!

and the best news of all, THEY WORK!!!!

Look for a prototype in the next week or two (depending on how much time I have).

yeah, update, im still working 60 hours a week :lol:

no time to work on this crap, no time to go to Homecoming, no time to play with the BMW... work sucks, I need to go on unemployment or something :rotf:

Sure, there's always unemployment to get paid, and food stamps to eat. :tup: ... j/k.

I'm sure the indicators will be worth the wait.

Will you be making a rally style dash mounted gear indicator? Will you have one for the 4l80E? It would have been nice if TCI made an output for a gear indicator when using the paddle shift.

Marty, I just replied to your e-mail. Sorry about the delay, I forgot it was there as I had checked it running out the door one evening.

As for updates, I think im going to tell my boss that starting next week, im only working 4 days, cause plain and simple, I just dont have enough time to do anything anymore. Heck, I have to give my packages to someone else to ship for me cause I leave before the post office opens and im back well after its closed, so I cant even win there!

Im obviously WAY behind schedule here and Im going to do my best to get on the ball in the next week or two.

I know you're trying to do your best to help the community out, but make sure you are charging enough for these things to make ti worth your time. I've been there, done that before, and kicked myself in the end for not pricing stuff where it really needs to be.

Morgan, I may have a nice little CF part that will be a nice compliment to your Indicator for pictures later on. I'll let you know if its done about the same time yours is.
I foresee a possible trade coming into view..... ;)

So are the letters going to cut out of some solid vinyl material for that reverse-glow look, or are they going to shine through like if you used paper and illuminate more than the letter? If they can be made in a white letter/blue light reverse-glow style fashion, I'm DEFINATELY in! I already have the euro gauges from procarparts on my to-do list (anyone know where I can get those cheaper? if not, oh well...) as well as the autometer gauges that illuminate blue as well, I think its the C2 series...?

ah well, I just know that I'll definately buy one if I can get one to match!

just incase anyone was still wondering, these WILL be coming out in 2008.

like I mentioned previously in this thread, my "real" job has been keeping me away from completing all my fun projects, but I should be having a slight career change coming this spring where I will be able to spend more time on this project, as well as some others I have in the works.

thanks to everyone for being patient, you will not be disappointed :D
