Re: New GM High Tech mag

i was kinda dissapointed in the coverage of it and being just a ls swap truck, no turbo or anything.

Re: New GM High Tech mag

I finally got around to reading my subscription. My observations

-Atleast SyTy's got a 'car feature' article in a magazine
-Its quite the higher rider, someone torqued down the front torsion bars.
-I hate the Steering Wheel Cover.
-It's performance is as I expected a N/A LS series put it similiar performance to a 4.3 Turbo. (ie the money spent on LS swap equal to what one who could have gained with a 4.3 Build up)
-The LS2 is going to be hell over a lot more reliable than a 4.3L
-I have no idea why they used a 4L60E, its going to be a the weakest point and he probably figure that out pretty quick once they add N2O its limitations. Should have done the 4L80E

i hope it does hold up. but you aren't making the torque the 4.3 does so that will help.

With the power level that he will be at even with the spray his transmission will be fine. The same transmission he is running (only in a different case) has put a 3600lb C6 9.21 and ran 159. We chose the 4L60E over the 4L80E for ease of installation and did not feel the 4L80E was necessary. We have a particular customer who was having problems occasionally with one of our 4L60E's so we eventually built him a 4L80e. This corvette just ran a 8.87 and set a new personal MPH record today at 158.59 on radials. I absolutly love both units and have lots of knowledge of transmissions in general. I am not a sponsor of this forum and not trying to promote our products. I personally have a Syclone (and many other HP cars) and am very appreciate of this forum. I would like to meet a lot of you guys at Bowling Green this year and promise to put my truck in the 9's. My truck has a V6 and a turbo for the record.:D

I think it said it was the 1st LS swap into a SyTy, can that be correct? As mentioned above, it's sittin' way too high.
