Welcome David - see you around LS1Tech quite alot. The vid of your new setup is played daily around here :)

What are your goals with the truck?

With that heads/cam/fuel combo you could definitely step up to a larger turbo easily.

hmm i dunno, whats the fastest one of these typhoon's has gone? ;)

just kidding acutally i just wanted something cool and fast that can handle bad weather.. my t/a is juuust quick enough and nice enough to want to keep out of the snow now.

so what of these mods? anything that was a bad move or something that wasnt touched that really needs attention for the miles? how about what little crappy headache type things happen with these vehicles?

Welcome aboard, I believe I recall seeing you at LS1tech as well. Looks like theres not alot of stuff that hasn't been gone over on that truck. Sounds pretty nice

In terms of performance parts I wouldn't do much different. Some of the parts I would pick differently due to preference, but nothing sticks out as weak link or something that would immediately need to be address. To me It looks like a solid build and if own the truck I probably wouldn't make any major changes. From what I have seen, 7.4's are around a 11.6-11.7 1/4

yea sounds really good, i just hope not too good to be true.. and the guy knows just enough about what mods are good, and throw them on a nice fancy list to push out the resale... when i would really not have any idea whats in the engine or trans until it lets go.

Their are a lot of modded truck FS that I would redo everything, especially one that were done in the 90's.

Re: newbie, please review my Ty purchase

kyb's will be red/black shock/boot color combo
can see the tranny cooler in front of the grill
not the stock turbo - check the housing
the front driveshaft (propshaft) may have a dynotech sticker on it
a/c is deleted

most of the other stuff is either internal or cant see

looks pretty legit but like you said itd have to be opened up to check. your running pretty good numbers so i would expect some pretty healthy modifications

Looks like a really good build. If I was to do anything it would be a bigger turbo & port the heads, he's showing stock Vortech's.

thanks, i replied to it, it looks broken though.
Yeah but an easy fix.The pass corner is super hard to find,so it would be worth grabbing and fixing.Or you can get a NOS one from Ray Moore for like $800.

Re: newbie, please review my Ty purchase

picked it up today, really like the stance and the interior. the doors have a lot of rattle to them and it needs a radio, really nothing else to complain about.

first steps will be to learn the chip programming and get a snow performance progressive (w/ boost) methanol kit like i have on my trans am.

then will be looking at picking up some wheels and that fender cladding, last step would be a 76mm and external gate.

think once i get that stuff put away i will have a really nice little all weather vehicle :)
