No heat/Thermostat replaced

Back to the heater hose- since heat stopped after the hose was changed, start there. Is that hose clamped too tight, crushing a connection?

Re: No heat/Thermostat replaced

I have been following this thread and I have not heard one person mention the heater controls or the heater core. I use to have a 68 falcon and had no heat (luke warm) even after changing the thermostat. I disconnected the two hoses to the heater core and inserted the end of my pressure washer in and litely bumped the trigger a couple of times. Not enough to blow out the core, but enough to flush it. All kinds of crap came out and after that my heat had returned. Worth a try. Maybe the control in the heater box is not opening and letting the hot air out.

Im headed in that direction now. Since this truck sat a lot the past few years, it may have a clog in that hose I fixed. I will also look into the the heater box control. Thanks guys!!!

I did above. At the end. Easily missed since I tend to draw out my sentences. If the hoses are warm/hot then water is flowing and it almost has to be a control issue. No worries. Any method that verifies water can actually get through the heater core is another good step.

Re: No heat/Thermostat replaced

Well it looks like that was it. That stupid red connector behind the control box was off, only allowing the partial closing/opening of the flap. Pulled cable a bit, heat. So I got a new stat and coolant out of it anyway!!! SMH... Thanks for all the help guys.
